Paint the sea Red

Nine days of touring in Egypt and diving in the Red Sea is offered by Gateway Travel in conjunction with Egypt Air. The tour includes three nights' accommodation in Cairo, a city tour and a visit to the pyramids, sphinx, museums and Khan El Khalili bazaar. The cost is $1,395 a head, twin-share, land content only. TROPIC TOPIC: Vanuatu's Le Lagon Parkroyal offers a family deal of seven nights for the price of five on selected dates to July 31. WINTER FARES: Ansett's winter sale fares on all Australian routes offer savings of as much as 67 per cent off the full economy price. The fares (ex Sydney), on sale until July 26, and valid for travel from July 24 to September 19, include Melbourne from $199; Adelaide from $279; Perth from $469; Hobart from $519; and Darwin from $519. FAMILY FARE: The Novotel Launceston has a family package starting from $189 a night. SKI NZ: Ski Express has a six-day New Zealand ski package, with accommodation at the small, turn-of-the-century Beluga Lodge in Methven, near Mt Hutt. At $1,166 a head, it includes return air travel with Air New Zealand, six days' car hire, a four-day Mt Hutt lift pass and discounts on sightseeing, lessons, clothing and ski hire.
